We were delighted to have attended the Support Dogs Charity Reception at the Hilton Hotel in Deansgate.
Ourselves, along with a number of businesses in Greater Manchester, were given the chance to find out more about a small but hard-hitting charity that trains assistance dogs to transform the lives of people with serious medical conditions.
We were joined by more than 100 guests at the event, which provided an opportunity to meet the Support Dogs’ team, trainers and see some of its dogs in action, as well as listening to the moving stories of two local clients.
The national charity is continuing to build its profile to businesses in and around the Greater Manchester area to gain their support and to develop corporate partnerships.
Danny Anderson, fundraising manager for the Sheffield-based national charity says:
“We’re a small charity that makes a big difference to the lives of people with serious medical conditions, thanks to our wonderful dogs.
“We have far more requests for help from individuals and families in need than we can currently deal with, and are as we rely entirely on public donations to fund our vital work, we are constantly looking to expand our corporate support base beyond South Yorkshire.
Dave Langley, Relationship Manager at Datacentreplus commenting on the Support Dogs Charity event says:
“It was fantastic to see how we as an organisation can help and learn more about the great work that the Support Dogs team, sponsors and clients continue to do. I am very much looking forward to working with the Support Dogs Charity and the team at Datacentreplus to build on the incredible work that is being undertaken by everyone involved”.
